Bee Visible Exhibition

The Met, Arts Centre, Bury | March 2025

Bee Visible was a pop up community arts exhibition held at The Met in Bury in March 2024, funded by Bury's Culture Fund and supported by Bury Council. The exhibition was created to celebrate local disability culture, showcase the creativity and talents of disabled artists and young people, and provide an opportunity for wider audiences to learn more about the lived experiences of the disabled community.

As the project manager, I curated, organised and managed all aspects of the exhibition, bringing together work by local schools, disability groups, professional artists and members of the wider community, alongside my own practice. The exhibition welcomed more than 200 visitors over one weekend and was attended by local councillors and community leaders.

The project created a space for disabled voices and creative practices to be seen, celebrated and shared, while encouraging greater understanding and awareness among audiences. By bringing together artists, schools, disability organisations and the wider community, Bee Visible demonstrated the value of art as a tool for connection, representation and social change.
