My social practice is rooted in collaboration with communities who have experienced systemic disadvantage, exclusion or marginalisation. I work primarily with people whose experiences connect to my own, either directly or through adjacent lived experience, as I believe this creates a stronger foundation for trust, understanding and ethical practice. All of my projects and community driven work begins with listening, building relationships and developing projects with participants rather than for them. Co-production is central to my approach, ensuring that people have genuine influence over the creative process and the work that emerges from it.

My approach to working with individuals and communities is informed by my studies in anthropology and counselling, alongside my practical experience supporting people from a wide range of backgrounds. These disciplines have shaped the way I listen, build relationships and understand the social and cultural contexts that influence people's lives. I aim to approach every project with cultural sensitivity, curiosity and unconditional positive regard. While visual art is often part of my practice, I also facilitate dialogue based workshops where conversation, reflection and shared experiences become the creative process in themselves.

The relationships built through these collaborations continue to shape my studio practice, just as my experience as an artist informs the way I work alongside others.
