Childhood SA: Trauma Research

Greater Manchester | Work In Progress

An ongoing research project centred on the lived experiences of adults who have survived childhood sexual abuse. I am currently developing partnerships with research organisations, support groups and community organisations across Greater Manchester to explore what support is currently available, where gaps exist, and how creative practice might contribute to understanding and wellbeing.

The project will use creative methodologies including visual research, oral histories and participatory sessions to explore the long-term effects of childhood sexual abuse and the experiences of navigating recovery and support. A key area of enquiry is whether creative and community-based approaches can help alleviate some of the ongoing impacts and improve wellbeing for survivors.
